Awareness Training: Awakening Inner Knowing
Awareness Training: Awakening Inner Knowing
Monday – Wednesday, March 21, 22 and 23, 2011
Location: to be announced
with Arnaud Maitland
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created an environment that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. – Albert Einstein.
Beyond the limitations of time and space there is something greater than human being; it is the key to human potential – pure awareness. This is an infinite field of mental energy, allowing for all experiences. With discipline and practice we can learn to become aware of awareness.
Attuned as we are to our inner dialogues and attracted to our mental fabrications, we are used to cutting off direct sense experience of pure awareness. Thus we loose contact with the source of our innate intelligence. Without being aware of our natural open awareness, we have no access to the reality beyond the contents of our thoughts. Unable to act on a deeper inner knowledge we become isolated and weak, and the self-defeating quality of our isolation creates still more isolation and fear.
Yet, by nature the human spirit loves to fulfill its possibilities. We can tap into this dynamic, adventurous force of awareness and let it empower us to prosper and achieve our goals. Awareness can turn into our guide towards success in our personal and professional lives. Open awareness becomes the medicine to heal dissatisfaction, cultivate enjoyment, and deepen knowledge in life.
Through Body-awareness and Kum Nye we stimulate the flow of energy through the body centers, enriching the quality of sense experience. We can connect the energy of the heart to the belly and the head energy, healing the isolation and yearning we suffer from. Once these connections have been established, gut level willpower circulates through the heart. As the energy flow through the body centers increases, it enriches the quality of sense experience as awareness will become lighter. The more the energy of the head center lightens and the chest opens, the lighter awareness becomes. This light-mind energy becomes a catalyst for activating new knowledge.
When we develop paying attention to our life, time and space, we begin to foster the alertness and mindfulness that restores our natural intelligence. At this point it is the right time to learn to ask genuine and meaningful questions. With the right question, inner knowing emerges and we will reclaim the spirit of inner freedom.
In this intensive, experiential seminar we will learn to relax in the stillness of our being and open up our experience of space and time. To gain access to the free and relevant inner knowing, we learn the method of Questioning Mind from Tarthang Tulku’s book Knowledge of Freedom. By awakening mind and heart access to open awareness will improve and our natural inner knowing will become accessible.
For participation in this retreat, enrollment of the preceding weekend seminar, March 18, 19 and 20, is required.
